ABOUT US

Founded in 2015 and directed by Marie-Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre,

Spirit Now London is a non-profit organisation with all funds donated to cultural institutions and the support of young artists.

By membership only, it is a private and international circle of benefactors, collectors, and friends.

Spirit Now London allows meeting with exceptional personalities from contemporary art, design, culture, and science.

Through its curated program, SNL wants to be a tastemaker in the art and cultural worlds. One of its underlying missions is to revitalise, strengthen, and create bridges between France and the UK. These two nations have a strong shared cultural and artistic history. Despite the challenges of Brexit, SNL intends to continue inviting key French artists to share their thoughts and inspirations within UK institutions and foundations.

SNL is also organising bespoke art trips to Europe, hosted by its network of collectors' friends and foreign personalities from the cultural world.

Spirit Now London is a partner with The Gaze of a Parisienne (cultural online magazine), Editions Take5 (Publisher of artists books), LeSpot in Paris, The Art Circle in Abu Dhabi, and the Invisible Collection.

RANA
BEGUM

Visual artist

Through her refined language of Minimalist abstraction, Begum blurs the boundaries between sculpture, painting and architecture. Her visual language draws from the urban landscape as well as geometric patterns from traditional Islamic art and architecture. Light is fundamental to her process.
